Marc Chagall (1887-1985), was a French painter of Jewish-Russian origin. One of the most prominent painters from the 20th century. Associated with Expressionism and also described as the painter-poet. Chagall was related to the Parisian group centered around Montrparnasse where artists like Modigliani and Apollinaire used to gather. In his works we can find a lot of art nudes, Jewish motifs and also influences of Cubism.
